Remembering John Sullivan: a member of our Fringe family.
It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to John Sullivan, a beloved member of our Fringe family. For over 15 years, John dedicated his time and passion to volunteering at the festival, becoming an integral part of what makes this community so special.
John was a friend to many, and this is a huge loss not only to the staff but all the volunteer team who had the pleasure of working with John over the years. Often seen helping out in the box office, at a venue, taking tickets and greeting people with a smile. We couldn’t do this without our volunteers, and John has been a huge impact on that community.
Beyond his work as a volunteer, John was a mentor to many. Larissa Lau, Volunteer Manager, shared some heartfelt words, “John was an integral part of the Fringe family. He’s always had our volunteers and patrons best interest at heart. He was truly a mentor to me, helping me settle into my role these past years. He was always ready to help and support in any capacity. He will be missed dearly and I know the volunteer department will not be the same without him. I am so grateful I was lucky enough to work, learn, and get to know John”.
We send our deepest condolences to John’s family during this incredibly difficult time. His memory will live on in the festival he was so fondly part of.
