Kids Fringe Producer
What you’ll be doing:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Kids Fringe Producer is responsible for the planning and implementation of all aspects of the Kids Fringe. This is a seasonal contract, 50 hours, starting in August (or earlier, depending on availability) through October 2, 2022.
• Planning and executing on the Kids Fest logistics
• Work with Production Manager to coordinate site planning, technical needs, setup and strike
• Coordinating with Kids Fringe artists and Education Partner to confirm logistics, supplies, and technical needs
• Work with the Front of House and Volunteer teams to coordinate patron experience and needs
What you bring:
• Curious and excited to learn, dedicated to helping artists and building community
• Experience producing/managing live events
• Experience working with on children’s events or theatre for young audiences
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Familiarity with coordinating and working with volunteers
• Ability to work collaboratively on a team, and independently on project-based work.
Hours and pay:
• Remote flexible hours Aug 4-29, may include some in-person meetings
• On site coordination Sep 5, 6, and 7 (7am-3pm)
• Sep 26 debriefing meeting

Bullshit Cabaret Producer
About the Role:
We’re looking for a creative and organized person to bring our annual Bullshit Cabaret to life! This beloved variety show happens on the second-to-last night of the Vancouver Fringe Festival and showcases the amazing talents of our Fringe artists.
Position: Seasonal Contract (during Vancouver Fringe Festival)
Event Date: Saturday, September 13, 2025
Reports to: Production Manager & Executive Director
What you’ll be doing:
Program the Bullshit Cabaret, an annual variety show taking place on the 2nd last night of the Vancouver Fringe, featuring Vancouver Fringe artists
Reach out to potential performers and maintain communication throughout the process
Coordinate the lineup of the two-act, approximately 120-minute variety show.
Work closely with our Production Manager to make sure all technical needs are met
Ensure the event showcases the artistry of Fringe performers, creating space for unusual and transgressive performances
Ensure all activities comply with the Fringe Safer-Spaces Policy
What you bring:
Experience performing at a Canadian Fringe Festival
Experience producing or managing live events
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Comfort working with a 19+ event that may include adult themes and nudity
Commitment to creating a 2SLGBTQIA+ friendly environment
Hours and pay
Contract Position – $650 flat fee
Remote flexible hours
On site coordination Sep 15 9:30pm -12:30am

Box Office Assistant Manager
The Role
Reporting to the Box Office Manager, the Assistant Box Office Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the friendly and smooth running of the Fringe Box Office and patron check-in at our venues. The Assistant Box Office Manager will sell tickets in-person and by phone at the Fringe Box Office, respond to emails, and assist artists and our volunteer team with ticketing requests, assist with the set-up of FOH check-in tools, and Satellite Box Office locations. This is a seasonal part-time position from July 29 to September 15, 2024.
Key Responsibilities
To sell tickets in-person and by phone, and respond to Box Office emails, providing excellent customer service to Fringe patrons
To resolve ticketing questions and concerns from patrons, artists, and volunteers, with assistance from the Box Office Manager
To assist with Box Office set-up and take-down
To assist with pre-season set-up, and training of staff and volunteers.
To liaise with Box Office Manager and Associates to ensure smooth running of all ticket-selling locations
To assist with training Box Office Associates, and volunteers
Person Specification

Terms & Conditions
Salary: $23/hour
Hours: part-time, weekdays 11:30-10:30, weekends 10:00-10:30
Training: one paid training shift before September 3
Vacation/Leave: 4% in-lieu
