Accessibility

Access

We work with our community to identify, prevent, and remove as many barriers as we can. If you have questions about accessibility at the Fringe, please get in touch with us by emailing administration@vancouverfringe.com.

Venue Guides

We have detailed descriptions of all our venues to help you prepare for your visit to the Festival. They include written directions to the venue, photos of the venue, and a step-by-step guide to help you navigate the building. You can find the full list of venues here.

Service Animals

Service animals are welcome in all areas of our venues that are open to the public. Please advise the box office when you purchase your tickets.

Priority Seating

Patrons with access needs are requested to identify themselves at the venue box office at least 25 minutes prior to performance start times. Priority seating cannot be guaranteed after general admission begins 15 minutes before the listed start time.

Access seating

Access seating for mobility devices is available for mobility device users. It may be reserved when purchasing tickets or by presenting to the front of house team at the at least 25 minutes before the performance start time. Mobility device users may transfer to standard seating (assistance is not available).

Audio described performances

This year, we are partnering with VocalEye to provide descriptive services for Blind and Partially Sighted audiences.

VocalEye and the Fringe have hired Blind and Partially Sighted curators and asked them to create a selection of low vision friendly Fringe adventures for community members, including one described performance. These packages will take place on Saturday, September 14 and Sunday, September 15. Special ticket prices, priority seating and sighted guides will be available.

Details will be available at www.vocaleye.ca

Improving our services

We are always seeking to improve the experience of attending the Fringe. We encourage you to send feedback to administration@vancouverfringe.com
