We speak with the company behind thought provoking show ‘Whale Fall!’. In this blog we discover more about this show with so much depth.
Briefly introduce yourself/your company…
We are a Hamilton-based theatre company touring our award-winning two-person show about orcas and climate change across Canada.
What is it that makes your work/company unique?
Whale Fall looks at the big issue of species extinction and climate change through the intimate lens of family and the bond between a daughter and her father. It won Critics Pick Award at the Hamilton Fringe and the Special Merit Award at the Theatre BC Playwriting Contest.
What kind of experience do you hope audiences will have during your show?
Whale Fall is a profound and deeply moving show that conjures images of water and dreams.
What do you think is the best thing about Fringe?
The opportunity for indie artists from across the country and worldwide to share their stories with each other and audiences.
What is the most important thing you hope audiences will take away from your show?
Whale Fall asks each of us to consider the work we must do to keep hope alive in the era of climate change and species extinction.
