Meet Tyson Bradley, the creative behind ‘Stiff Upper Lip‘. In our latest blog, we find out all about the inspiration behind this British inspired comedy delight.
Briefly introduce yourself/your company…
I’m Tyson! Originally from Port Moody, but have been living in London, UK for the past several years. I was previously working with a homeless charity until I was recently fired for being a comedian. True story! Some of the best art has been created from adversity, and my life has been full of it.
What is it that makes your work/company unique?
The way my mind works is that I say “what is no one else doing right now? What am I not seeing from others?” I can’t give away too many details, but there are some aspects of this show which means that each performance will be different from the last!
What kind of experience do you hope audiences will have during your show?
Laugh your ass off. Enjoy yourself. Let loose. Life can be pretty rubbish sometimes, and I think that comedy can help us forget about how hard it is for a moment. I also want to know the audience and hear about them as well!
Without spoilers, tell us what you think audiences will remember most about your show?
The last few minutes of the show. I’ve been incorporating it into my UK shows recently, and it’s definitely a hit!
What do you think is the best thing about Fringe?
Artists get to express themselves creatively. Audiences get to come together and have a shared experience of that art in a time we need it the most.
What is the most important thing you hope audiences will take away from your show?
My soul, my social media, maybe take some merchandise while you’re at it?
