Meet the artist who wears multi-hats Danielle, Far From Beds. In our latest blog, we will know more about her personality and what to expect from this production.
Briefly introduce yourself/your company…
My name is Danielle Leger and I am the writer of Far From Beds. I have a background in musical Theatre, comedy, and songwriting! My good friend Mike Lee will be visiting from Toronto and drumming for the show!
What is it that makes your work/company unique
There is structure to the work but also some fluidity and playfulness in it as well! the rehearsal process for this show is interesting, as one of us is in Vancouver and the other Toronto.
What kind of experience do you hope audiences will have during your show?
I want my audience to feel like they are at a little intimate rock concert. Escaping the city life for an hour and heading on a little road trip with me!
Without spoilers, tell us what you think audiences will remember most about your show?
The show is a song cycle, so I hope they remember the music. I have a feeling they might remember a couple of the characters they meet in it as well!
What do you think is the best thing about the Fringe?
I really love the idea that anyone can be apart of the fringe. Its just awesome seeing new artists and creatives that otherwise wouldn’t get a chance to perform.
What is the most important thing you hope audiences will take away from your show?
I definitely hope they relate and feel connected to a large portion of the songs in the show.
